| v5.0 Review
Part I

The niche of security software for PC is highly competitive. A dozen of huge companies with impressive background offer a plethora of products to end-user. Apart from now common "Internet Security Suites", some vendors promote their products as "total security", "premium security" etc. It is confusing even for savvy computer users who generally have a solid understanding of what is important for a reliable PC security and which products are good at delivering bulletproof protection at an affordable price.
However, Internet Security Suites share some common problems. They're generally huge to install and hungry on system resources. They need loads of RAM. They come with various modules enabled by default which have no option of switching off in control panel. Interface bugs are not that uncommon. Offering all-in-one protection, such suites don't care about your experience, executing tasks in the background which slow PC performance to a crawl. Finally, if you decide that you don't need such a monster software package on your computer, uninstalling one can be a pain.
And security suites are expensive, requiring yearly renewal license keys.
I believe these are the reasons for SUPERantiSpyware to gradually get its acknowledgement in the tech world. No matter how powerful multi-core processors are and how many gigs of RAM can be stuck in the latest motherboard, there's always a demand for clean, easy to use, efficient and lightweight programs.
I dare to admit SUPERAntiSpyware has grown into a mature anti-malware solution with features to crave for. For example, it can be installed in Windows Safe Mode. Many spyware removers are lacking this option. They want a fully working Normal Mode to run the setup correctly. However, it is in the Normal Mode that malicious intruders take control of the system, preventing installation of spyware removers and kicking unpacked setup code out of the RAM memory. Performing an install of anti-spyware program is so much easier in Safe Mode when most malware objects are inactive. I don't care how the guys behind SUPERAntiSpyware came up with a solution to a problem which many competitive products strive to rival. They did it, and it works. Now I can always recommend SUPERAntiSpyware to those frustrated Windows users who cannot do anything in Normal mode.
The team behind SUPERAntiSpyware proved to be careful about optimizing the code what resulted in ridiculously low memory consumption in idle state. We're speaking about a meager megabyte here. Yes, that's 1 (ONE) Megabyte of RAM consumed when program is not running scans or downloading updates, just keeping en eye on system background to prevent infection (that's called real-time protection). I have sound reasons to believe you'll have hard time trying to find another anti-malware solution with so little impact on system memory. What it means to us home users is that SUPERAntiSpyware will work fast on older systems running Intel Pentium III or AMD Duron.
