Free Download for Antispyware
Hundreds of thousands of web surfers look for free download for antispyware. There's nothing wrong with it – we live in the century when freeware programs set a standard for availability. But the main concern is that antispyware programs claimed as free are nothing more than free to download only. That is, either installation of such antispyware programs require some kind of license key, or the process of removing the detected malware is only activated after purchasing a subscription. On both cases, there's no reason to call such antispyware software free.
This is because free download for antispyware has nothing to do with actual features and options of the security programs. In fact, manufacturers encourage us, customers, to download their software for free because that is the only way for us to get to know the features, pros and cons of the respective antispyware products.
Here's hidden a powerful marketing technique, knows as incentive, that entices surfers into free download for antispyware programs. Search engines would normally list hundreds of thousands of websites listing allegedly free download of antispyware software, while in reality the 4-letter word has nothing to do with the described products whatsoever.
In my mind, free antispyware is not only free for download, but also allows for free scanning, detection and, what's most important, free malware removal. Otherwise the term "free download for antispyware" is somewhat misleading. We like to be treated honestly, but lots of marketers and vendors are selling products as free, without bothering to explain what exactly is free in regard of the corresponding program. A free download itself is no surprise these days. Even free installation is common, providing the PC user accepts the license agreement. What money is charged for often are actual featured of the software, like automatic updates, real-time scan or malware removal option. It's pity that many manufacturers consider it acceptable to fool potential customers into downloading allegedly free antispyware, which cannot act like true antispyware unless registered.
In my experience, a free download for antispyware is nothing to show off these days. Because of severe competition in the PC security software industry in general and especially in anti-malware programming, most conscientious vendors offer free download for antispyware. But it doesn't necessarily include the expected features like auto-updates and malware removal.
Currently I can name only a handful of free antispyware programs that offer free malware removal, either on permanent or trial basis, namely: Lavasoft Ad-aware Basic, Doctor Spyware Free, a-squared anti-alware, Malwarebyte's Anti-malware, SUPERAntiSpyware, SpyBot Search & Destroy. However, all of them – except for SpyBot S&D – don’t include a module for real-time protection. Automatic updates are available in paid version only, and same is true about customer phone and live support.
Generally speaking, full-featured free antispyware programs do not exist because no software company can afford development and maintenance of products that require the use of security labs and the work of IT experts, whose services are always high-paid.
That's why whenever you're searching for free download for antispyware, be ready to find only feature-limited editions of software, often with time restrictions imposed onto the period of functionality. Antispyware products require too much dedication and efforts on part of developers to be absolutely free, that's why in most cases it's just the download for antispyware that is free.
